We Know Campus Connects with ACCIS, and Here's Why It Matters

From June 28 to July 1, 2026, the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS) held its Annual Conference at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado, bringing together the counselors who guide students at independent schools across the country through one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

And in the lead-up to the conference, We Know Campus had a conversation that confirmed exactly why we do what we do.

Why ACCIS?

Independent school counselors are some of the most experienced, well-resourced professionals in college admissions. But even the best counselors will tell you there's a gap they can't fill alone: the lived, day-to-day reality of being a student on a specific campus, right now. ACCIS represents the counselors navigating that gap every day, which makes this community a natural fit for what We Know Campus was built to do: complement counselors, not compete with them.

So what happened?

Our executive team sat down over Zoom with ACCIS Executive Director Emmi Harward and Director of Member Services & Operations Linda Pierre. The response? They loved our mission: giving counselors a tool that strengthens their work by connecting their students with real, current college students at the exact schools they're considering.

One feature stood out as a big draw: the ability to showcase a partner school's own alumni on a white-labeled page on our platform. Imagine a high school's students exploring colleges through conversations with student leaders who once sat in their same classrooms. That's not a public marketplace gimmick. That's a private, well-knit community.

Is this just another public marketplace?

No, and that distinction matters. We Know Campus is exclusive to our school partners. We don't operate as a standalone marketplace where anyone can log on and book a call. Access comes through your high school or independent educational consultant, which means counselors stay at the center of the process, where they belong. We're here to complement the work counselors are already doing, not to work around it.

What about quality?

Every single student leader on our platform is hand-selected and interviewed by phone, and every one of them meets mandatory, rigorous criteria before they ever talk to a prospective student. No self-serve sign-ups. No random matches. We average 21 carefully selected student leaders per college across majors to choose from, so students can find a student leader who actually matches their intended major, interests, and questions.

Where does We Know Campus stand today?

There are 43 colleges live on the platform and growing. More campuses, more student leaders, more real conversations between high school students and the current high-achieving college students living the experience in real time.
