What Counselors & Leaders Say

I think it's so important as students are trying to figure out what their future home is going to look like, to get the insights from a current student who's lived that experience—not just from the perspective of a tour guide, but having those intimate one-on-one conversations about what a major really looks like, what the dining hall is like, what the vibe of the school is.
            - Derek DuBose, President of NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) and Director of College Counseling at Miami Country Day School

The longer I'm in my career, the more of an expert I become, but the farther I am from my students and their experiences. I know there's a lot of value in them hearing from a near peer.
           - Jahleese Hadley, SACAC Advancement Chair and Director of College Access at Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington

What Students Say

Max helped me decide on if applying to UF made sense based on what I was looking for based on my interests
 - Mason Efron, High School Junior
I feel more prepared and less anxious about taking difficult classes like Organic Chemistry. Sam really gave me a lot of advice for how to get through the pre-med track and I feel better about my choice for my major!
               - Nil Demirag, High School Senior
My two calls were so good. I learned so much about each school's engineering program and feel way more confident about my decision for where I want to commit to
- Sydney Butler, High School Senior

What Parents Say

The conversations are student driven, so the new student is able to receive specific answers to questions they raise and hear directly from a mentor student who has been there done that. My daughter met with Gaby who answered questions about URSP, Honors requirements, and achieving a work-life balance during the first semester adjustment period. They also touched on study abroad and preparing for sorority recruitment. Gaby zoomed in from her study abroad program in London, which my daughter thought was cool to hear about. My daughter is attending Preview next week, so she had a couple of questions about how to best meet some program requirements. Gaby also reassured my daughter that despite what Rushtok promotes about the competitive nature of SEC sorority rush, recruitment shouldn’t be that stressful and not to overthink it. That’s not to say it isn’t a draining process, especially with long days in the Florida heat and humidity, but TikTok influencers tend to overemphasize certain prep or aspects of rush that aren’t as relevant at UF.

My son met with Eli who answered questions about Greek Life and the business school. After the call, Eli sent an email with some names of students my son could reach out to for more information about fraternities and business-oriented clubs. There are other mentors from schools outside of the business school as well! It's a great service for new students looking to get some mentorship either prior to arriving on campus, or shortly thereafter!

Prospective Partner FAQ's

Why is We Know Campus exclusively available through high schools and independent educational consultants?

Built Exclusively for Partner Schools & IECs

We Know Campus exclusively partners with high schools and IECs to instantly connect their students with an average of 21 high-achieving student leaders at each college for authentic, first-hand insight into campus life. We also help our partners develop and showcase their own white-labeled alumni networks on our platform, turning graduates into a lasting resource for the students who follow them.

We believe authentic campus insight is most valuable when delivered within a trusted educational process. This partner-only model helps maintain a verified student community, keeps counselors at the center of the college search process, and ensures a higher-quality experience for everyone involved.

How are We Know Campus coaches vetted?

It is very difficult to become a We Know Campus student leader because we rigorously vet them all on live interview calls. All leaders meet the following criteria:

  • Have exec or leadership positions in clubs and/or organizations on campus
  • Have excellent GPA's
  • Have great internships/career steps in line
  • Demonstrate a deep passion for wanting to help high school students and counselors know more about their college

When should a We Know Campus call be used?

These no-script calls are designed to support high schoolers while complementing the work of college admissions advisors at every stage of the college journey:

- Building a purposeful college application list

- Choosing between colleges after admission decisions are released

- Preparing for life on campus after committing

Are the We Know Campus leaders advising?

No! Our coaches understand they are not professionals. They provide current, lived perspective that counselors simply cannot offer at scale across dozens of campuses. We position it as real-time student insight that complements professional guidance. Counselors lay the cement, We Know Campus coaches fill in the cracks.

How long does it take the We Know Campus internal team to develop and showcase my school's alumni on a white-labeled page?

Your alumni network across several college campuses can be recruited and onboarded in as little as three weeks.

Can I keep in contact with a We Know Campus leader after my call?

Yes, all of our coaches send a post call email after the Zoom call with links and more value to kick off further discussion to ensure you have all the information you need. You can respond to this email and the coach will respond back until you stop.

Can multiple high schoolers sit in on one Zoom call with a leader?

Yes!

Why not just connect with alumni?

Alumni outreach depends on who responds, who is available, and who counselors know. We make it immediate, niche, and consistent with an average of 21 options per college in a couple of clicks. Our coaches are financially and genuinely motivated to help high schoolers and counselors. We onboard our partner's alumni anyway to be We Know Campus coaches. For example, type in "Saint Andrew's School" in the search bar in the top right!

Why can't I just ask the college itself for a student to talk to?

You can. However, we take that manual workload off of you. That is time consuming and the student they choose may not fully align with the high schooler. We instantly connect via Calendly with no-fluff conversations and the depth of options for current students in each category at each college on our platform is unlike anything you've ever seen before.

How is this different from what admitted student ambassadors colleges already offer?

Those programs typically start after admission and only represent one institution. We support students much earlier and across many schools instantly with no fluff. Our coaches give raw insight only.

Can counselors book Zoom calls also?

Yes!

Are colleges okay with We Know Campus leaders representing them?

Our coaches speak only from personal student experience, not on behalf of institutions. Colleges do like us because we alleviate the anxiety of high schoolers about their college, thus increasing interest and enrollment. As a result, retention is increased.
